Mini Evaluation.

Things I have leant.

Throughout this FMP I have leant many techniques. I have lernt how to use the screen wrighting program Fade In and how to make a basic layout and work myself around the sight. I have also leant how to accesses different research sores. For example books/magazines, YouTube, films and researching different screen wrighters. Also by doing lots of idea’s thinking and research on your characters for example there background and likes and dislikes really help later on when it comes to wrighting.

Things to improve on and to do next time.

I think I need to improve on making the script layout more like a script so its easier to read. I also need to add more description in my scripts. For example with the characters movement and describing objects and places. Next time I need to look at more script/screen plays and look at their layout and their techniques and what makes it good and stand out and try and use it in my work.

  1. Poppy – you’re doing great. To help you with your layout please download Fade In http://www.fadeinpro.com
There is a free version and it will help you immensely. I think I sent you some websites where you can download scripts. Have a look. This article is really interesting in terms of character development

and it also has links at the end of it to the screenplays of Shrek and Titanic – both excellent scripts, which will help you with style and layout too. I also think it would make your life easier if you wrote in word and did a quick spellcheck before copy and pasting what you’ve written over to your blog. Writing in a word document (or similar) is a good way of ensuring that you keep a copy of everything, in case anything is lost when uploading to your blog – and it also sets your mind at rest in terms of spelling. I have loved watching your ideas develop and I think you are gaining in confidence the more you do. I would love to know what you think of the article above in terms of your own character’s development.
